In case you’ve been living under a rock that selectively blocks out everything interior-design-related, we’d like to introduce you to someone who we think is really great:
Her name is Genevieve Gorder, and she has a show on HGTV called “Dear Genevieve.”
After graduating from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, Genevieve traveled the world to do freelance work for design studios in Amsterdam and Barcelona. She also worked for the award-winning Duffy Design studio in New York City. Genevieve believes that “designing a room comes down to finding out what gives you joy, and I’m there to help make yours visible.”
Read the rest of her bio, here.
About the show:
Finally, all your design questions can be answered. Designer Genevieve Gorder offers down-to-earth advice to real people who have fallen out of love with their home. In each episode she delves into the gallery where viewers from HGTV.com have uploaded their design issues. Instead of just writing back with a suggestion, Genevieve provides the answer — in person. Ultimately, with creative solutions and design ideas, she will help homeowners fall back in love with their home!
Okay, so you already know about Genevieve… We figured… But she hadn’t been properly introduced on our blog yet, so we thought it was time. Plus, she stopped in the store yesterday, as she often does (because we’re really cool).
Take a look at this video clip where Genevieve visits a shipyard in Germany where she’s working on a new Royal Caribbean ship (amazing!!):
So, that’s Genevieve. Check out her show on HGTV, and come visit our showroom—where Genevieve comes to find fabric and work on projects!
